December 7, 2018: Share Your Holidays Event at Ball High School
Together – with our outstanding Community Partners, Ball High School faculty and students, the team from First Lutheran Church who sponsored the FeedGalveston initiative, our in-kind Community Partners and everyone in the community who took the time to “Share Your Holidays” so generously with those in need – we collected 27,000 pounds (and still counting!) of nourishing, non-perishable food items, plus received over $2,000 in monetary contributions during our 38th Annual ABC13 “Share Your Holidays” Food Drive, held Friday, December 7th at Ball High School. This was our best year EVER!
Special thanks to BHS Key Club Coordinator, Tanner Rasco, for organizing the students and to all the faculty and staff who helped First Lutheran set up everything in the BHS library. This was a terrific location and everyone really enjoyed working together in this venue. The FeedGalveston volunteers and students packaged over 50,000 meals and were all finished by 12.30 that afternoon!
Again, thank you… to all who participated to make this year’s “Share Your Holidays” so successful! See you next year!
– Mike Dudas, GISD/BHS “Share Your Holidays” Coordinator.

Winners included: First place, Coach Haney’s class; Second place, Dr. Duncan’s class and Third place, Mr. Merritte’s class.
