We are packaging meals for the Galveston County Food Bank on Sunday, December 13 at First Lutheran Church Galveston. Please message our account or call First Lutheran Church (409-762-8477) to reserve your spot. We will have shifts from 11:30-1:30 and 1:30-3:30. We will wear masks and limit the number of people who attend to stay safe. The need for food has gone up since the pandemic started so this is an essential ministry. If you are able to volunteer or spread the word, please do.

Stay Safe! Watch our recorded online worship services on our website anytime!NOTICE! In Person Worship Suspended

The Church Council, informed by the information from the Galveston County Health District, has suspended inperson worship for June 20/21, June 27/28, and July 4/5.

Galveston County and Galveston Island are experiencing a surge in COVID-19 cases. Hospitalizations have increased and if case numbers continue to increase (as predicted) our health care system may be overwhelmed. Because of this reality with the rapid community spread of the virus, in person worship is suspended so that our worshipers and guests will remain at home and remain safe.

Please continue to observe the proven mitigation methods:
1- Wash your hands or sanitize your hands regularly.
2- Wear a face mask.
3- Practice social distancing.

Please watch for information for when in person worship will resume. THANK YOU and WATCH OUR ONLINE WORSHIP SERVICES and STAY SAFE! 😷

Sing along with today's hymn (lyrics provided)!😃COMFORTING HYMNS - FROM A SOCIAL DISTANCE! We begin today a series of musical videos where you can watch, listen, and sing along with (lyrics provided)! Today we bring you "Jesus, Keep Me Near The Cross". This song was written by Fanny J. Crosby (1820-1915), the author of over 8,500 gospel songs. Though blind at 6 weeks of age, Crosby began composing texts at age 6. She later became a teacher at the New York School for the Blind, where she was a student. A friend of several presidents, Crosby became one of the most important advocates for the cause of the blind in the United States. Listen and sing along: ow.ly/iHZW50yY3QI ...
